Prints Charming has been at Two Young Street for a year on June 1st 2008, so we are having a ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY SALE! Starting the Saturday 31st May till the following Saturday, up to 50% on some fabrics and mark downs on our unique handprinted skirts and kaftans and other surprises in store.

Here is the class list for the 2nd half of 2008. We have had such fun teaching our papercut method of printing, and all of our classes have resulted in fantastic fabrics being created. We have had women travel from round the corner and as far away as Launceston, the Gold Coast and Melbourne. Not to mention the couple from the Isle of White, who at the end of their travels around Australia stopped off at the Prints Charming studio for a Valentines Day print your own fabric workshop.

Our Wednesday night stitching classes have been just fantastic. Everyone has had so much fun making bags and quilts, so much that everyone has come back for a second round which means these are already booked out!

Print Your Own Fabric Workshops With layering of colours and using papercut designs print your own length of fabric. In this class we explore the possibilities of this useful method of printing. We love this method as it allows you great freedom and gives immediate satisfying results. We guide you through colour choice and design ideas as you transfer a metre and a half of white material into your own original length of fabric ready for your next project. Classes are limited to 4 per class. Cost of class includes 1.5m 100% cotton fabric and use of screens and inks. Cost $160 per workshop. Print your own fabric, then sew a skirt class. This will be a whole day of printing fabric followed by an evening to sew your skirt together. Cost for these two workshops will be $200 and includes all you will need to make your A-line skirt to your size. One Class only!: Sunday 28th September from 10am-3pm, and Tuesday evening the 7th, 7pm-9pm.

 Make a girl’s three tiered skirt. Come along and learn some basic sewing as you make a girl’s three tiered skirt with an elastic waist band. Construct the basic pattern and choose your fabrics from our shelves and you're away. You don’t need a machine as we have them in our studio, although you can bring your own along if you like. Cost $80 plus fabrics. You will need to buy approx 1.2m fabric depending on size of the skirt, on the day. Prices start at $24 per metre. One Class only!: Thursday 5th June 9.30am- 2pm

Wear comfy shoes you are on your feet all day and clothes that you don’t mind ink getting on. A little bit always does! We provide screens, ink, fabric and all you will need for the day’s workshop. For the sewing classes we have three Berninas to use but you may bring your own to class if you wish. Class & Registration Policy: ** PLEASE READ ** * All class bookings are now to be accompanied by full payment. * No refund will be given if you cancel without giving a full two weeks notice, before class begins, unless a replacement student can be found. We do endeavour to find replacements if possible. * You may cancel out of a class up to 2 weeks prior to final payment date and receive a full refund. * You are unable to make up classes. * A full refund will be given if a class is cancelled.
