I am writing this on Cath's birthday from Maldon in Victoria. Cath is in Sydney celebrating, Ihope, and we are touring around Victoria. Euchuca and the great Murray river was our first night camping.
Pearl, Lucy and Henry breakfasting by the Murray River. Not a bad way to start the day.
Now a camping holiday is not a camping holiday without a visit to a few fabric shops. Bendigo our first big city and is home of Honey Suckle Patchwork. We have met Nikki and Peter a couple of times in Melbourne so it was nice to be able to see them on their home patch.
Nikki has a great range of fabrics and supplies, including Prints Charming of course, so if in Bendigo visit.
Bendigo was put on the map after the discovery of gold in the 1850's, and the wealth is still on display with the just beautiful Victorian architecture every where, in town and the suburbs. The highlight for the kids was the trip down the Deborah mine to see how the wealth made it to the surface.
That's Snowy with us who worked down mines for 47 years!
So as I said at the beginning I'm writing this while the snags sizzle on the camp fire and the wireless computer does the rest. So cheers Cath Happy Birthday.
Best Wishes from Kirsten, and I'm getting a bit of stitching done as well.
