We often have lovely visitors to our store and last week was no exception. Linda dropped in last week all the way from Iowa in the US. She's here visiting family and is also involved in a wonderful charity called Stitchin' Mission teaching beginner quilting to students who in turn donate their gorgeous quilts to others in need.

The weather is starting to heat up in Sydney along with the workload here in the studio. We're getting ready to do the final count down for Magnolia Square as we madly print and pack goodies for you all to see from Thursday 19th to Saturday 21st Nov. Check out the official site for more info.
We also had the wonderful oportunity of going to Kelly Doust's media launch of 'The Crafty Minx' which has been published by Murdoch Books. Check it out for more inspiration on creative ways to recycle pre-loved items and turn them into gorgeous new creations.

The media launch was held at Julie Paterson's store - Cloth fabric, which of course is always great to visit. It was really good to catch up with Julie and we're loooking at doing some colaborative projects together next year.

Another exciting bit of news this week was a feature that came out on Prints Charming in Quilts and More which is a US magazine that is part of Better Homes and Gardens Creative Collection. So look out for it at your local newsagent as we have seen it for sale at local places.
There are two Prints Charming projects featured; a quick 'how to screen print the Prints Charming way' and also a quilting project.
Here's a sneak peak at some of the fabo new things we'll have at Magnolia and also our market day in the studio on the 28th November.

Last Friday the studio was buzzing with action with some very busy quilting going on.
Beverley has been teaching a quilting class over the last few weeks and below are shots of some of the quilts the students are making. The course has covered the basics of quilting including choosing your fabrics, techniques and individual guidance along the way. Of course the best bit is that after all the hard work, you get to go home with a quilt to put somewhere special.

Well, back from the Stitches and Craft show and what a great time we had! Here's a few photos to show you our stand. And for those who weren't able to get there, check out our shop for lots of new additions.

Last week we had a wonderful adventure to the NSW highlands and went to visit Lynne at My Place in Bowral, NSW. It's a quick trip from Sydney and we had a gorgeous time rumaging around the town.
Here we are out the front of Lynne's beautiful shop. She stocks a wonderful array of fabric, homewares and an abundance of beautiful things. It's definitely worth a trip or even a detour if you are in the vicinity.
It was also extra special because both of our Mums came with us and here they are - Margaret and Heather!
We have a few people to thank this week, including our wonderful helper Lily who worked really hard packing, printing and helping us get ready for the big Darling Harbour Event!

The countdown has begun for the Craft and Quilt Fair at Darling Harbour, June 10-14. which means we have 22 days until we need to be packed and ready to go!
We'll be at stand G33 so go grab your ticket and put it in the diary.
Beverley has been busy teaching in our studio and look what she whipped up in her spare time - this gorgeous bag using our new Bindhi panels. So, a big thank you to Beverley.
The panels are 25 x 25cm and are printed in a range of colours. Embroider into them, frame them, use them in a quilt or whatever takes your fancy. We always love to see what you come up with so get creative.

Winter is on its way here in Sydney and what better time than NOW to start that long planned quilt! If you're just beginning to quilt and not so sure you can really do it, we've just developed the perfect project......
This quilt measures 140x192cm and is really very simple to put together. We're selling it as a kit that includes all top panels shown, binding and 4 x pearl embroidery threads.

As you can see, the hand embroidery is a very simple running stitch but looks fantastic.
